Summer is off to a busy start! The kids have been out of school for a week now and the next two months are chock full of activities! Classes, workshops, VBS, church trips, etc… fill the calendar already!
I am trying to adjust to having them all home for the better part of the day. Milk consumption has gone up dramatically. One gallon a week has become three! During the school year, they are great about packing their lunches but somehow, in the summer, it seems to have become a forgotten skill.
On the plus side, chores are being done with a greater degree of regularity. There is still much complaining about doing them in general but they are getting done so I try not to nag too much. Both of the girls are interested in gardening which is odd to me. The gardening gene seemed to skip me. My grandparents were excellent gardeners as are my parents. I have a very brown thumb! I have killed more plants than I care to admit here. Though I will say that the herbs I bought in March are still alive and doing great! Something of a miracle there!
I’ll share a sneak peak of a project in the works tomorrow. Stay tuned!
